In Rome, Cora is a waitress at a club, walks people’s dogs, sleeps with various men, kips with pals, and has a salty tongue. She also has a bruised history: her mother’s suicide, her brother’s mental illness. Ada, a dog-owning client, hires her to follow Ada’s aged and courtly father every day. The dad, a retired philology professor, has a touch of dementia, sometimes forgetting where he is; Cora is to keep him in sight, phoning Ada if the professor has difficulties. On the third day, he takes a train out of Rome, and Cora follows on what proves to be a journey into her best and worst selves. She becomes his traveling companion, but what does he become to her?

Portugal 1938. Pereira is the editor of the culture section of the Lisboa, an unaffiliated evening paper. There is civil war in Spain and the fascists are in power in Portugal, but he concerns himself only with his work (writing biographies of famous writers and translating French novels) and ignores what is going on around him. He hires Monteiro Rossi, an idealistic young man in love with a beautiful communist, as an assistant. He reluctantly helps them when they begin to get into trouble due to subversive activities. Eventually events force him to take a stand.

It’s the story of the murder of a poet, a man, a great film director: Pier Paolo Pasolini. The story begin with the arrest of “Pelosi”, a young man then accused of the murder of the poet. All the investigation about the crime is about the question: “Was ONLY the “Pelosi” to kill Pasolini?” The help of a Policeman, Trepalle put in evidence a trouble: Was Pasolini killed because of his accuses to some politicians?
The Second Time (La seconda volta) (1995)

Professor Alberto Sajevo sees a woman walking in downtown Turin and starts following her for days; he finally meets her and they start talking, but they both give fake names. She is not the common secretary she pretends to be, but ex-terrorist Lisa Venturi who’s currently in jail for having severely wounded Sajevo fifteen years before; he will finally and dramatically reveal himself.

Massimo is a young actor who is a spellbinding livewire on stage. A theatre director is moved by his talent and wants to do a play about him, to turn him into a great role to be interpreted by Massimo himself. But the actor’s father informs the director of his son’s strange decision to renounce conventional language in everyday life, and offers a possible explanation: a disillusionment in love. The mother agrees to compose the script, perhaps to bring her son back to an equality characterised by a verbal language that is understandable to all.

Onoff is a famous writer who hasn’t published any new books for quite some time and has become a recluse. When he is picked up by the police one stormy night, without any identification, out of breath and running madly, without clear memory of recent events, the Inspector is suspicious. Through interrogatory dialectic, the head of this lonely, isolated, broken-down police station tries to establish what has happened, by delving into the mind of his writer-hero, and clearing up a mysterious killing.

Some got children, some got problems with the pimps, some are more desperate than others, but their destinies are more or less the same.
The Postman (Il Postino) (1994)

Pablo Neruda, the famous Chilean poet, is exiled to a small island for political reasons. On the island, the unemployed son of a poor fisherman is hired as an extra postman due to the huge increase in mail that this causes. Il Postino is to hand-deliver the celebrity’s mail to him. Though poorly educated, the postman learns to love poetry and eventually befriends Neruda. Struggling to grow and express himself more fully, he suddenly falls in love and needs Neruda’s help and guidance more than ever.

An honest Judge, with marriage problems, volunteers for a job, in a corrupt area of Sicily, the previous holder of this job having been assasinated along with his Escort. The new Judge, and his Escort (which now contains a friend of the previous Escort)attempt to discover whose palms were greased to allow a local ‘Water Monopoly’ to develop, while avoiding assaination attempts. Apparently based on true events !!!

After many years of medical treatment Valentina, apparently an epileptic girl, has been sent to a psychiatric clinic. Here she finds Arturo, a young psychiatrist, who notwithstanding his problematic personal life and the Italian Public Health Service’s overwhelming inefficiencies, is able to establish with Valentina an intense relationship. Focusing the therapy more on her family life than on drugs they will finally discover the true nature of her disease.

While travelling to visit their grandfather, two children are told the story of a family curse that has lasted two hundred years. During Napoleon’s Italian invasion, Elisabetta Benedetti fell in love with French soldier Jean – but while Jean was distracted, Elisabetta’s brother Corrado stole some gold that Jean was guarding, and set the curse in train. The Benedettis become wealthy, corrupt and hated by their former friends, who rename them the Maledettis – the cursed. The childrens’ grandfather Massimo is the last man to be directly affected by the curse – but will he pass it onto them?

An anorexic young woman escapes from a psychiatric clinic and meets a young man who wants to help. She is caught and returned to her parents, who are soon beheaded by a garrotting stranger making the rounds about town, apparently striking only when it rains. The orphaned young woman and her new lover launch their own investigation and are endangered when a link is discovered with the victims and a particular operation performed years before.

Marco Sperelli is a teacher, he is divorced and he is sent to work in Corzano, a town near Naples. The first day of work he finds in the school only the school-caretaker and few girls and boys in the class-room. He goes out looking for them and he discovers then a wretched life led by the boys and the girls of Corzano. A life in which only power and violence are worth respecting. Sperelli tries to teach something different but he gets their respect only by slapping Raffaele, on the way to became a camorrist. His presence and his work, however, disturb too many persons and he will be transferred.
